Stop-loss question

I had a stop loss setup to sell my IShares 250, for approx 2 minutes yesterday the shares dropped by about 4.5% and my stop loss executed. On my brokers webpage say that spikes in prices should not cause a sell until a trend is seen. Is a drop for 2 minutes a trend ?

personally i wouldnt say so but i bet they can have a pretty good arguement put together. I guess you'd have to look at the trades leading and following the execution of your sell. The problem with these terms and conditions is that it gives you little and gives your broker all the power.

You may be able to argue but i wouldnt like the chances, happened to me a while back and i chalked it up to experience and stopped using stop losses. I know they have uses i just prefer to stay in control.
