UK national average income, salary or wage?

I've googled all over the place and the best I can find is this..

However, I'm actually looking for a simple table of individual income stats which shows the percentage of people within certain income thresholds, something like this...

% pop £ p/a ? 0 - 5,000 ? 5 - 10,000 ? 10 - 20,000 ? 20 - 30,000 ? 30 - 40,000 ? 40 - 50,000 ? 50 - 60,000 ? 60 - 70,000 ? 70 - 80,000 ? 80 - 90,000 ? 90 - 100,000 ? 100 - 150,000 ? 150 - 200,000 ? 200,000 +

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Didn't see your previous request, but with that attitude I doubt you'll get help anyway.

Google 'uk national average salary'

Gives 23,100,000 results. The first one gives you everything you asked for.

Well at least someone (you) has replied now.

Which will affect the current result by?...

Well you haven't exactly given people much time to reply :-)

Secondly, that fact that you've 'googled' all over the place and failed to find the information may mean that the information is not readily available.

The folks here are generally very helpful when they can be, but I fear you have shot yourself in the foot with your reply :-(

Ok, got that search and the first unsponsored one is the Guardian Unlimited article. It does have some useful information but I cannot find enough to compile the list I'm looking for.

Thanks anyway. :-)

Two days is not enough?

Which is why I asked here, as some may know of a link that is not "readily available", ie: not indexed by google, et al.

Possibly, no offence was intended, I was just a bit frustrated. C'est la Vie and thanks anyway. :-)

Hmm. The second link goes to the government statistics office and all their publicly available reports.

How much detail do you want???

Just the very basic detail I mentioned in my OP, ie...

% pop £ p/a ? 0 - 10,000 ? 10 - 20,000 ? 20 - 30,000 ? 30 - 40,000 and so on..

The govt site gives lots of info about things like "gender pay gap" and so on. It has a link to "Distribution of Earnings" which I thought sounded perfect, but it just has top and bottom percentile for m / f earnings, annual increases, etc.

I simply want percentages in levels or earnings brackets. Just something which showed figures in £20k increments would do, although £10k increments would be better. A simple statistic like this seems to be unavailable though.

Thanks again, Mike.
