I'm thinking of taking specialist advice regarding ym pension and whether to transfer my frozen one into my existing one.
In trying to find an advisor - what qualification should they have?
Also, how much should I expect to pay for the advice?

If it's from an occupational final salary scheme they should have the G60 exam and be authorised by the FSA to give such advice. They might charge around 500.

K10 & K20 should be held as well if poss. Check on the FSA website that they are authorised as "CF24 Pension Transfer Specialist".
Just out of interest how many days work will that cover ?
Questions to the OP - what is the transfer value of your frozen pension ?
Did anyone else see working Lunch today - what did they call IFAs ?
Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure what the transfer value is but it is 18 years worth of a final salary pension which I'm wondering about transferring to my existing local government final salary scheme.
It has been frozen for 10 years.
