I agree about the CCJ and other "poor" credit stuff, and I have only used Bank of Scotland . However, they actually tell you not to state your income and that, if you declare your income, they will not class it as non status, and will have to check it.
BofS have telephoned me for confirmation of trading but never requested any income information.
