Which newspaper would be most interested in running a story on bank incompetence?

I had my accounts at Cater Allen bank closed, without a reason.

Then they proceeded to send me account upgrades.

Then they said they are actually closing them.

Then I got another upgrade, to a "Platinum" account...

In the end I ended up charging me £15 because my account balance was below 5k.... not having realised this was because they closed the account ;)

I now have a wad of paperwork from this outfit, showing that nobody there talks to anybody else.

Even the foreign-name character who signed the first letter cannot spell his job title.

It's quite fun to read, actually.

Whether this is untypical I don't know... I still get statements from Shittybank (Citibank), some 10 years after I closed the account, and some 2 years after they closed it due to a lack of transactions..... I dropped them because they would sometimes not action money transfers, because my name generated a match against a list of known terrorists supplied by the US Govt ;)

Re. subject - none.

But a competent bank? Now that really would make the front pages.
