accounting software

I am researching new accounting software. We have been using Solomon IV for many years and I have no complaints with that software except that it is no longer supported by Microsoft. The main feature I don't want to lose is that by using segmented sub accounts, I can get information by contract, by department, by location, by event or any combination of those. I am told this can be done in Microsoft Small Business Financials as well. The Microsoft Small Business Financials salespeople say I should upgrade my Solomon program and the Solomon salespeople say I should change to Microsoft Small Business Financials. I would appreciate any feedback about either software or other groups to chat with.

I don't know of any software that will give you the same flexibility in the subaccount that Solmon does. I don't know what version you're using, but Solomon IV is still supported by Microsoft in the version 5.5 and 6.0 levels.
