Ok, I'll try again. Is anyone here currently working with any companies that have to apply FIN 46 to land option contracts? This is what I do all day and I just want to know how other handle it.

Yes. Financial Interpretation #46(R). It relates to variable interest entities. Yet another rule from the Enron fallout.
