I need to interview an accountant for a school project

Sep 14, 2008 0 Replies

Hi Everyone,

I started talking some accounting classes at a local community college recently. One of my assignments is to conduct an interview with somebody working full time as an accountant and write up a two page paper. I?ve been having a hard time finding somebody to talk to in the field, as none of my family or friends work as an accountant. I was hoping that someone wouldn?t mind taking a few minutes and answering a couple questions for me.

  1. What is the interviewee?s name, title, and place of employment?
  2. Describe the duties and responsibilities of their current position.
  3. What education/training did this person acquire before/since entering this field?
  4. How did this individual choose their field?
  5. What success or failures have they had in their career?
  6. Do they enjoy their work?
  7. What further education/training do they need to continue in their field?
  8. Where do they see themselves in 10 years?
  9. What advice do they have for a student planning to enter this field?

If you want to respond here, or email me directly any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
