uk.finance, uk.finance.stockmarket, sci.finance.abstracts.
The ever-helpful people at news.newusers.questions may know.
I think misc.invest.*, such as misc.invest.stocks and misc.invest.technical, would be of interest.
Hardly anybody that knows what they are talking about posts to sci.econ.
and farthest place to ask is sci.physics :o)
lots of physicists are in finance, in case you haven't noticed.
i guess that, unlike the mathematicians and physicists, people working in finance are too busy and hard-working to have time to waste posting idly to newsgroups, eh?
Might also try misc.invest and misc.invest.mutual-funds.
let's face it: misc.invest and misc.invest.xxx is nothing but a collection of spam ads.
