I vaguely remember hearing about a local stock exchange that trades penny stocks of local companies. And I started thinking that I'd like to sink a few dozen dollars into something like that. And I wondered what else might exist, like mutual funds of small, local companies.
Is there that sort of thing going on? And if so, where would I learn about it? I'm in the St. Paul, Minnesota area, if it matters, but I doubt this area would be unique in that respect.
