NEED HELP WITH SBT VISIONPOINT 2000!

Anyone who knows the step by step procedure to close a period/ year a few months later w/o closing the following year in this program I would like to hear from you on the best procedure to do it w/o closing 2006 along with it- HELP EDS

I am not sure you can do that in SBT, I worked on it for years and it was pretty "crude" in tha manner of period closings...no fancy stuff, like running a few open ones, then trying to go back and close...We ended up upgrading to SAGE code...They ended up buying out SBT...Good luck...

EDS>> your best bet is to do just what you stated..(imho)..we were always creating a "work bench" in SBT..that is, where we would load up a install of all sbt modules and load up backed up data on a whole different computer system...We would do whatever we needed on this seperate system or, what we called the "work bench"..after you solve uour current problem, contact SAGE sales folks to get you converted off of the old SBT (not supported) onto a SAGE platform, that is supported....thats going to be a more robust, "modern" system w/all the features (and more) you now need....good luck !!......

BINGO! GOT THE PROBLEM SOLVED, GOT THE YEAR DONE & BOOKS UP TO DATE THRU

8/31/06 ON TWO MULTI-MILLION CORPORATIONS!! Not quite as pretty as I would like it to be but it did get the company current & up to date! There is a GOD after all!! EDS
