no money, no honey

Is there an economics study correlating a man's income to his mates physical attractiveness?

Mark Demers, is that you? And why are you so obsessed with this?

Why would this be an economics study? I'd much more expect it to be a study in sociology.

what's it to you? i'm more interested in what the economists have to say about this; who cares what the scientologists/sociologists think?

It matters because economists don't tend do such studies, but sociologists do.

I knew this rich guy that married a woman so ugly she....well, let's just say she was really ugly. And then there was this dirt poor pecan farmer who married this girl named Darlene who was real purdy. Go figure.

I guy I once knew told me of getting thoroughly smashed at a bar. In his drunken state he picked up a date for the night, a lady of some wealth, who took him to her place.

The next morning he awoke, sober, surrounded by a very comfortable domecile. Indeed the lady did have money to spare. Then he rolled over to see who it was he'd slept with. Now that he had his faculties about him, his companion turned out to be a BUTT-UGLY DOG. Before becoming entangled he made his farewell and hightailed it.

The next day at work he told everyone of his adventure. One person proposed, "Why didn't you stay? You might've hit it off, and you'd be set for life, a rich man." His prompt reply was, "Uhhh- she was ugly."

Oops, you've got to more more careful to appear sane in public, or no one will take you seriously. Try watching how normal people behave, and try to do the same.

you sound like some jerkoff I know who's always citing random anecdotal evidence as if it were fact. it's not; you should get a clue.

So why have you posted it to a real estate and physics group?

yes, but it was in social psychology

can't recall the reference, probably several times, periodically popular study topic

AIR, the correlation was highly positive

Hi Misseur_Kool, You asked me:

Did we really need to know that you were neutered ?

Well... it was essential to understanding what I wrote... you genius.

You keep saying No_Money_No_Honey, but Fuzzy's dad, my friend's father, is a penniless leech, a nominally worthless bum, who has fathered 21 kids with 19 women.

Perhaps rock stars' chicks are sexier than physics professors', perhaps not, but I doubt that most women care about money to the extent that you think. Wealth is relative, there's always someone poorer than you.

Many women will want you if you have youth or desire to father kids. Duckie is a girl that's rooming with me, along with her boyfriend Ethen. Her 86 year old father, Dick, has Duckie's mom, an overly_devoted wife, plus a mistress with whom he's having more kids, as well as other women.

He's very broke, very old and very ugly... but women still chase after him. Why ? Because he has, likes and wants lots of kids.

so even though it was a social psychology study, they agree the answer boils down to economics: no money, no honey.

no, this cannot be right. you are assuming women are dumb. women are just as smart as you are. would a man marry a good looking women who had no money just for sex, especially if you can get the sex without marriage?

Eh. Feynman was a total dog. But he was also a pretty good salesman...
