Your Career Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Manager of Accounting, you participate in the fundamental daily accounting, auditing, internal control, and reporting and analysis functions of the Finance Department. This role will actively contribute to the growth and development of the Finance team, and the establishment, creation and implementation of new processes, procedures and internal control initiatives. This exciting role will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to all aspects of the strategic accounting and auditing function, as well as the ability to develop technical and managerial skill sets. Upon successful mastery of job responsibilities, core competencies, and cross training with the Manager of Accounting, this role is intended to provide an exciting career track within the department, as well as continued professional development in the areas of Accounting and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

*Manage key areas of the monthly financial close to ensure timely and accurate reporting on general ledger and financial results. *Responsibilities include assisting with account analysis and reconciliations, preparation of journal entries and financial statements and maintenance of the financial database. *Assist with the preparation and development of key management reports. *Establish and maintain effective rapport through regular contact, active listening and timely addressing of any issues, concerns or problems, with both internal and external contacts and customers. *Assist management with establishing strategic plans and objectives, in addition to complying with reporting and compliance requirements. *Assist with Accounts Payable management and processing. *Manage the fixed asset cycle. *Review and analyze financial trends and variances and keeps management informed. *Participate in the investigation, review and resolution of issues as required. *Assists with the successful completion of the year-end audit, and schedule requests of external auditors. *Participate in integration projects with a focus on efficiency, productivity and internal controls. *Ensure accounting policies and procedures are being consistently followed and adhered to. *Assist with the establishment, documentation and continuously improvement of all financial processes, workflows and forms. * Perform ad hoc tasks as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

*2-4 years of accounting/finance experience. Public Accounting experience preferred *CPA preferred *Strong working knowledge of GAAP *Must be detail oriented, with strong analytic and problem-solving skills * Must be a self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision * Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi- task *Must have outstanding communication and presentation skills and comfort interacting with clients and colleagues in a professional and helpful manner *Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team-oriented environment *Must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Power Point *Experience with Great Plains or similar accounting package preferred
