Your CV must be wrong - full of too much bullshit? - or else you have too high an expectation of salary? In your first year at level 1.1 you are a cheap dogsbody to do simple tasks and plenty of photocopying.

But your salary will rise *very* rapidly as your experience and qualifications kick in over the next three years. Are you trying for big firms? Little High Street "one man bands" are probably your best bet. Life is far more interesting, and can be just as profitable.

Call in and have a quick word with the boss or his secretary. Be prepared to work a few hours here and there. Working for different people gives you a wider range of experience, and you are heading for the top, so good luck!

If anyone aged 16 or 18 or so is reading this, it is worth noting that the OP is "throwing away" her degrees. She might as well not have done them for all the benefit they are to her.

You can start in a small firm aged 16, be paid right the way through your studies, and be fully qualified at the OP's age, with 5 years experience and earing £40k or whatever the going rate is.
