Any one read Nassim Nicholas Taleb's (the Black Swan guy) recent book "Antifagile"
Any one want to comment on his premise that regulators who try to "stiffle" Black Swans" are not only doomed to failure but are the cause of more frequent and more ferocious Black Swans.e
For me the book was a slog - possibly because I am not familiar with with the works of the various Greek and Roman philososophers who he quotes.
The sub-title "Things That Gain from Disorder" didn't suggest what a buy and hold indexer with a reasonable asset allocation might do to cushion against Balck Swans.
