Do any software or online programs/products offer assest allocation advise for ones situation and maybe also for individual investments? Maybe some interactive product offered online with monthly fees or something like that?

I think Im getting ripped off by Schwab. Im in a Schwab Signature program thats charges 0.5% of all money managed, to give me advise on asset allocation and individual mutual funds/bonds to invest in. They provide 2x/yr updates.

Seems like what Schwab gives me is likely just via a computer program anyway without a whole lot of creative thought. So I thought I could do just as well if there was some sort of online service to do the same thing for a lot cheaper.

thanks for any tips.

I have two online investment services. One is through "a major bank here in Canada" and includes daily market commentaries, equity research summaries, outlooks and so on, as well as technical analysis tools. Fees are charged for equities traded. I had cancelled this account about a month ago to go to a "cheaper" service, only to reopen it because of the timely information/updates. This type of service does not provide advice as such ... just information and tools. I trade I suppose as a hobby and an interest ... always learning something new. So this type of service (just the facts) suits me.
