planning tab

Quicken 2010 I want to create tax summary reports. I remember from previous years that I had to hit the "planning" tab on the menu bar, but I don't have a "planning tab" on that bar. How do I get it?

?Hi, Nemo.

In Q2011, I can click Reports and choose from several tax-related options, such as Capital Gains, Tax Summary and Tax Summary. Perhaps you'll find what you need on that tab.

Just remember to choose "Last Year" in the Date Range. By default you'll get the current year - which is now 2011.

Are you sure there's no Planning tab? My Q2011 Deluxe has one and I don't think that was changed from 2010.

To get the planning tab you have to go to the set-up tab (way over on the right) and open set-up. then click on Planning as one of the options you want available on bar.

When you're responding to a question, please "reply," rather than starting a new thread.

Starting a new thread makes the whole question and answer thing rather difficult to follow.

Thanks!

I agree with RC, you should be able to get the Tax Summary report from the Quicken Reports menu (when "Classic Menus" are displayed - see the View menu).

You can get the planning tab displayed by going to:

Tools > Go to Setup and selecting "Planning" in the "Quicken Tabs" "Show" column.

Or by going to:

View > Tabs to show and selecting "Planning".
