Old Bills

May 09, 2007 2 Replies

I have a couple of old Bills that are from a couple of years ago that i want to stop from showing up when i do an accounts payable report. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of them? Thanks

Why have they not been written off? Issue a credit memo or void them. Otherwise, they will stay on your books until cleared.

I would do as suggested, post a credit dated THIS year writing them off (if you no longer really owe them). You already would have likely figured them in taxes in the year you incurred them (if you do taxes on accrual basis). Then, to get them to no longer show up, you can do a dummy check to apply the credit to the invoice.
