Peachtree Pervasive conflict

We are trying to install Peachtree Premium 2007. We install the server components & the client, but when we try to open a company, Peachtree just hangs. There seems to be some conflict between the Pervasive engine & BackupExec. Has anyone had this problem and figured a workaround? Thanks.

May be you should take a glance at the new G-net 4.0. Easier to setup in any platform.

sorry i am posting this to the group after the fac but i see that i somehow only emailed paul before and i want maximum exposure here :-)

have been searching high and low for someone else experiencing this issue !!!

has anything become of it ? are you positive its Symantec Backup Exec ?

i am running SBS 2003 with both Backup Exec and Trend Micro's Neatsuite for SMB

I blamed it on Trend Micro until i had completely uninstalled it and the issue persisted ... Peachtree support is utterly useless -
