PT on Linux

If anyone is running PT on a Linux box, I would appreciate some information as to how it is being accomplished.

We have a client trying to install PeachTree 2007 on a Windows XP Pro SP2 desktop system, and store the data file separately on a Linux Server, due to its RAID drives and backup. We are not having any luck in getting this to work. PeachTree is of no assistance in this matter, nor are the "Platinum" rated businesses recommended by PT. If anyone has any experience in achieving this, please post some information.
