Peachtree Export to Excel

I am running Peachtree Complete Accounting 2003.



I always used to be able to export reports to Excel 2000.



When I upgraded to Excel 2003, I can't seem to activate the Excel Icon in the Peachtree report programs.



Does anyone know how to get PCA 2003 to recognize Excel 2003?


It has to do with using a newer version of Excel than your Peachtree. Yes, they both are 2003, but the Peachtree came out first. One option is to right click on the report name and choose Excel. You'll get the standard options box then you can export a report directly to Excel.

will the usual registry edit help in this case?

I haven't been able to get it to work the last couple of versions. Don't know if anyone else has been able to or not....

It may take modifying to reflect the correct office version?? Just guessing as I have been lucky and have not had to resort to trying to fix things.

I wonder if reinstalling PT would help. I am using Office 2003 with PT Complete 2004 with no problems but I installed Office first when I got this laptop.

You might try reinstalling PT so that it sees the new Excel installation. You may have to uninstall PT to get it to work.

try this: right click on the program icon (or short cut icon), click on the properties, click on Compatibility, check Compatibility mode (Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7), click on Apply and Ok.
