I don't remember seeing that exact error before, but most errors in HQ Client are because HQ Client and HQ Server are running different versions (Service Packs). That's the first thing to check - Just go to Help/About and you will see the build number - 1.2.01xx - they need to be identical on Client and Server.
This almost sounds like you have an old version of the database though, like
1.1 rather than 1.2.
