Automatically update changes to inter-store transfer orders

In an HQ environment, you should be able to update any transfer order with an Origin of Local and a status of Open or Partial and have the changes sent via HQ to the store where the same order has an Origin of HQ. The originator of an inter-store transfer order should be able to make changes anytime before the order has been committed.

For inter-store transfers in, perhaps a flag or something could be added to notify the originating store that the transfer order has shipped from (been committed at) the remote store. You'd have to block changes after that time.

Additionally, an inter-store transfer out should not be Closed until the remote store has acknowledged receipt of the merchandise.

Even more, serial numbers should not need to be entered at both ends of this process...

But for now, I'd be content with the initial suggestion.

Not to mention that you should be able to request an inter-store transfer from the sending or receiving store! What If Location B wants to request an item from Location A? You have to call HQ to get this done? Or double the work by having each store create it's own transfer in/out order? That's bizarre.

You can do that, you just can't edit the transfer once it's flowed up to HQ.

In HQ Manager, there are options (File/Configuration) that enable what you are asking for.

Yeah - that's what I was really getting at... It's pretty useless when virtually EVERY one of my transfers needs to be edited. What happens if the TO store orders and item that the FROM store does not have in stock? You then have to edit it at both ends. I'm boggled at this lack of functionality, and more boggled at how it is not addressed in 2.0.
