Being able to report an Alias?

I run reports regarding item movement all the time, and now for some of the products I know off hand there are aliases, because companies like to change upc codes...the problem I am having is inacurate data reading. My item movement does not include aliases, is there any way to get it to include aliases in the movement?

I'd say the best way to handle this is to change the ILC to the code which you want it to show up as in the Item Movement Report. Then add the old ILC as an Alias for that item. Doing this will not affect past sales history, so long as you do not delete the item from the database; Changing the ILC does not affect anything, because sales history is linked to items by their database ID, not by the ILC.

You could modify the report to join with the Alias table and display the aliases for that item as another column, however you would have to decide how to handle multiple aliases. The first suggestion is probably best, assuming that the original ILC is no longer used by the supplier.
