Change Item LookupCode

hi, can i change ItemLookupCode of items , for example : i want to change the lookup code from 123456 to PS3-123456 which indicate the Department of the Item, is that possible and do not harm the data base. thanks

Yes, you can change Item Lookup Codes without a problem. Internally the item is tracked by it's own unique ID.
