Child Cost??? SQL help

Does anyone have a SQL Query (i guess that is what it is called)

I want to make a trigger that will run anytime the cost of a parent item is updated. If i cant run a trigger I would still like to be able to run the SQL query anytime I feel I need to make sure my child cost should be changed. So this is how i think it should happen. cost of parent / the MPQ of the child should = the cost of the child in the suppliers tab and in the general cost.

Im not sure if anyone already has a SQL for this or not. But as everyone knows that is using RMS the child cost is not addressed at all. So I think this query would be helpfull to lots of people.

Doug, I'm running store ops version 2, service pack 2 and hotfix 13 on my machine, version 2.0.0120.

I created a PARENT item, cost of $5. Child item cost of $2.50. 2 childs in

1 parent. Created a PO for the PARENT item and received it at $6. It updated the child inventory cost immediately to $2.50 even though I had no quantities yet of the child item.

I then depleted all my parent and child qties by selling children. I created another PO for the PARENT, at $5, received it, and it updated the child cost to $2.50. I sold one child, so I was left with one child in stock at $2.50 and no parents. I then created and received a PO for the parent at $6, and it updated the child to $3 (even though I had one child in stock at $2.50; it didn't average the cost to $2.75, it overwrote it to match the last parent cost)

Anyway to make a long story short check your version as it appears that in some hotfix or in sp2 they addressed the child cost issue. Hope this helps
