Config file for addin dll

Dear Masters,

I added a few appSettings entries in app.config for my addin dll. The addin dll is saved in

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Retail Management System\Store Operations\Addins

I also put the app.config in the same folder. However, the app settings could not be read.

Please advise

  1. where to put the app.config file.
  2. I have three addin dlls, each config file has the same name as app.config, how can I set the app config file named something like "dll name.config"

I think this cannot be accomplished. Please follow the Customization Guide. Use the manual way i.e. Customisation Guide and use the automated way by creating an installer for your dll.
