Create a HALO for deleting items from a transaction.

If there were a limit on the amount of items you could delete from a transaction it would great. At this point in time you can only let cashiers delete items or not let them delete items. On my previous system we had an amount we could set for how many items (or how much total dollars) could be deleted (voided) in each transaction. This allowed for a cashier to correct a simple mistake, but not take advantage of the system. Let me know what you think.

If this was a feature you could turn on/off I'd be OK with it, but if it was a function you couldn't turn off I wouldn't want it. We have many transactions that get put on hold as shoppers remember something they forgot and then come back and change their minds about other items on the transaction. Many times we have to delete numerous items on a transaction for different reasons. Also what if you needed to cancel a large transaction(we just delete all the items to a transaction rather than opening a new transaction)because a customer changed their mind. I would vote for this suggestion only if you had complete control over it. Craig

You could get set the HALO for an extremely high amount if you did not want to use it. The point of this is that if cashiers have an unlimited amount they can void it is very easy to start a scam against the owner. The amount of the HALO should be programmable in each cashier's profile in Manager. If a cashier needs more deleted a supervisor could log in make the deletion and log-out. At this there is checks and balances this way.

Thanks for your input,

Pete
