create a transfer from hq

Can you advise why when we create a transfer from hq. The sending store edits it but the receiving store does not see the changes? eg issuing store changes amount from 5 to 10 Receiving store still sees 5 not 10

This is the intended behavior. I can see why you would want it to change on the other end, as this would be the intuitive thing to do... However, there is reasoning behind the current procedures. Item costs, prices, and quantities are handled at the store level only. Being able to change these values at the store level without affecting other stores is critical. For example, lets say you transfer out 10 widgets, but one falls off the truck and the receiving location only gets 9. Another example that I deal with daily is that i have different costs at different locations. Store A transfers out a widget and it costs me $100 to transfer the item to Store B. I then change the cost at Store B on the transfer-in order.

This is way off topic, but I have been able to handle two stores in two countries with two currencies this way. For example, if Store A is in one country and the exchange rate is 2:1, I just change the cost on the transfer-in order accordingly in Country/Store B. Each store maintains its database in the local currency and the rollup of financial info is handled by accounting.
