Cred Card Pre-auths

RMS does not handle Pre-auths, you will have to do outside of RMS.

Really!? wow... I was just about to purchase some card readers and convert from a credit terminal to RMS processing. I think I'll have to rethink that decision if this is true. I've gotta say, that's pretty poor of Microsoft not to allow such a critical and simple feature.

I also heard that visa doesn't want people to do pre auths. It is now against there polices. Payment Industry Update: 0% Tip Pre-Authorization

Visa prohibits merchants other than lodging and car rental businesses from requesting an authorization for an estimated amount
