Custom RMS ecommerce integration

Hi, I need some research help. Does anyone know who's capable of doing a custom integration with our current shopping cart and RMS? We are a toy manufacturer, with multiple locations and stores throughout the US and abroad, and we are also using Microsoft Head Quarters. Corporate has invested about a quarter of a million into our current cart and I'm going to lose my job if I introduce any unproven solutions and promises. Who can help? Maybe there's a better solution for us, maybe not. Corporate has invested so much money into our website and cart very difficult to convince the boss and developers into walking away. I'm not very technical, but I can ask the developers questions if you have any. Now you know my dilemma, HELP!

Sandy,

I am currently using a customized version of WebIntegrator from NewWest Technologies to download orders from our website. It functions great and the support I recieved was very good. They even set it up to enter the order directly into RMS as a Workorder for any domestic order so there is no touch by Customer Service needed. Their site is

Like I stated earlier it's a custom cart. I will add that we are hosting our own site using a linux server and mySQL for the database.

It's a custom cart like I stated developed by our internal staff and nothing you'll find out on the net. We've got our own inhouse linux server and the database is mySQL.

Sandy, Kosmos Central would be a perfect fit for you. We've done multiple custom ecommerce integrations for a large number of clients and your site would be no different. From what I understand you'll need a custom Web Service that will communicate with RMS and your existing shopping cart database. Our current Kosmos Web Service package already communicates with X-Cart and Newestech's Web Integrator (as mentioned above) for RMS so making the adjustments to communicate with your Database would not be a problem at all. Just time and labor charges to get the custom development done and tested to your specifications. We also have a full staff of developers, designers, web marketers and content writers to help support every aspect of your web site if needed.

Our solution is also portable and will allow you to host on your own servers too.

Please call us regarding those specifications and we can begin by offering you a quote on costs along with a list of current custom web service clients for your reference.

Thank You, Alex Skorohodov Director of Sales and Marketing

Sandra,

We have integrated RMS with different shopping carts including our own. I approached one of our developers on it and the only variable depends on the business logic built into the cart already. There is a possibility that we have something in the way of a solution. Please feel free to contact me if you have would like some more information. jtaraby(AT)evisionsys.com

Sandy, looks like you will need a custom Web Service for your shopping cart. Whether it was built off an open source platform or not, I'm sure it's been customized to the point your developers and management are very reluctant to change anything. Kosmos Central has developed a multiple number of custom web services for existing clients that will communicate with RMS through the Web Integrator by New West Technologies. Our current solution out of the box will work for the latest version of X-Cart and OSCommerce. The Web Integrator is the piece that sits on your RMS server and pushes your RMS inventory and product information to the website. From there we can develop a Web Service that will grab that information and parse it properly into your shopping cart database, thus keeping your inventory and product information accurate online. This is not a huge undertaking, but not a job that will take just a week to complete either.

Please contact us so we can discuss your specifications and we can move forward with providing an estimate or quote for your shopping carts own custom web service.

Thank You, Alex

Ha Ha, looks like you had the same problems with your post like me! It took Google almost two days to publish my response and I thought it wasn't even getting posted, thus duplicate posts. Alex, thank you very much for responding to my post. I'll call you with more details regarding our situation to see what you'll need to provide an estimate..
