EMail Functionality

I like to see RMS able to actively notify store managers regarding certain situations ... eg currently I have to check the tender summary at regular intervals to see whether I need to drop cash. This is tedious and I'm prone to forget that I should do it. If I could get RMS to be able to drop me an email when say cash in the register reached a certain amount (selectable by the manager) my problem would be solved. I'm sure there are other situations where such a feature would be handy as well.

Thanks for the response Akber but I have two points;

  1. Which "add-on" and where can I get it?
  2. Surely the RMS core functionality should support this without having to resort to extras?

Alastair, We have an email application for RMS that does a number of things currently. Allows sending of a templatized email to one or more customers selectable through an RMS-Style filter, allows for emailing of receipts, Z's, X's and ZZ's. I also forwarded your post to the project manager for that application and he was interested about incorporating your thoughts into the application as well.
