I know how to do end of day X report and end of month Z report, but how do you do end of year report.

Erik, RMS never really "needs" to be Z'd. If you never really cared about how much cash you had or reconciling those numbers to batches you would never need to Z unless you made a change to a Tender or Tax. Most people who live in the real world though generally Z out once a night or at shift change. Your Daily, Monthly, and yearly numbers will be ok either way.
