Hi all,
I am having the following issue at 5 or 6 separate stores. I have posted on this subject repeatedly but no resolution yet:
The clerk will be performing a transaction , usually a debit, sometimes a credit, rarely a check or cash, and RMS POS will go through to the tender screen then, prior to printing the receipt, will just close RMS. Checking the Journal and the Tenders shows that the Debit/Credit went through but that the transaction did not hit inventory and there is no journal to reprint.
We have found that this is caused by having a VeriFone 1000se PINPad connected via Serial. When we have the stores simply unplug the PINPad they stop getting the errors.
I just applied Hotfix 2.0.0114, noting that one of the fixes in Hotfix 5 (2.0.0111) was: Error message when you have debit card pin pads enabled in Microsoft Dynamics RMS Store Operations: "Error #-2147467259 Database connection lost, application will be closed"
I had all the stores with the problem reconnect their PINPads and immediately started getting calls again about the issue.
Any of you out there who were having this problem that actually had it resolved?
Next question: Why some stores but not others?
