error in RMS

I keep getting an error when I change an ITEM and then try to save it. The changes are saved and I cannot tell that there is any problem after I have changed the item details in any way.

The error is "ROW CANNOT BE LOCATED FOR UPDATING...bla bla bla"

Anyone else getting this error?

My computer downloaded the SP3 update and I installed the "FIX" for RMS a couple of weeks ago.

I did a search in the newsgroup and did not find any previous posts. Is there some place I can get more info about it?

I have not seen it documented. I just know it has been happening to us for years.

it happens to us when you change an item, save it, print a label, then click OK to save it again. Not mission critical in this scenario as it is looking to save data that has already been saved.

Is there someone else editing the dat as well as you? Otherwise you could try running a re-index on the databse, but make sure to take a BACKUP first.

It still happens when there is only 1 manager running even with no POS turned on.

How about your printer setup, have you a default printer setup?

(I'm just trying to recall, I'm sure we came across the issue before and resolved it but I can't for the life of me remember the fix............. will keep racking my brains)

No one in there but me. I am re-indexing it and I will shrink it too.

We will see what happens.
