Errors Installing

Hi Guys,



I am using Microsoft Dynamics POS 2009 on Windows Server 2003 R2 - I have completed the install of the relevant software and even gave the box a reboot to confirm SQL wasnt the issue.



When I get up and go through the welcome system it asked me to create the database which I did called "respawnpreprod" because its purely a testing site to see if this has the scalability we need.



Then I get a (X) error..



"An error occured while attempting to create users and groups for Microsoft Dynamics POS" The creation of all Pos groups could not be completed



Any thoughts?

I know someone getting the same issue but with Win Server 2008. I have asked the same question on a different forum and am awaiting a response.

Have you tried using a local administrator account?

Yes, I'm running on my local admin account now.

Seems to be the same issue.

Same thing here. Server 2003 R2 Service Pack 2, I would have said that I had admin rights... Peter Johnson

Hi Guys,

Same here MS dynamics POS 2009 on SBS2008 on SQL 2008 Express.

getting error trying to create dastabae or even restoring a backup from a good working database:

"The creation of all Pos groups could not be completed"

any help will be much appriciated.
