Thank you for reading. After opening up the MS Dynamic POS 2.0 program ( P4 running XP pro, and SQL server 2005) and going through the started up procedures (none of which I can recall asked me to create an employee ID) I ventured into the sample data creation tutorial. After fishing around for a few I closed the program and needed to get back in it for a second. When I launched it a login screen appeared asking for an employee ID and password. Password I could remember but ID I had no ideal what it was talking about because the whole time i was in the sample data. I read through some documentation and found out if i lost either I needed to reinstall the program. I first tryed to re-install over the copy already installed and kept getting an error message. So I un-installed the copy on the hard drive and proceeded to reinstalled and got a massive ( system.runtime.interopservices.com exception (0x800455f3):[microsoft][OBC SQL server driver][SQL server] openservice() returned error 1060, 'The service does not exist as an installed service.' error. Up to this point I had not realized that the CD version was 1.0 but the preinstalled version was 2.0 My POS hardware bundle came with a POS 1.0 version cd. I will be approaching the verdor about the CD issue in the morning. What is going on? ANd is the other information you need to know in order to answer me properly/ Thanking you in advance.
