Problem with New HQ Database Install

Sep 11, 2006 3 Replies

I just installed HQ Server and Manager on a brand new PC. I tried to create a sample database from the RMShqsample.bck file, but when I try to open HQ Manager, I get this:

Error #-2147217865 Invalid object name 'HQVersionHistory'. (Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server) (SQL State: 42S02) (NativeError: 208) No Help file available

SET NOCOUNT ON SELECT * FROM HQVersionHistory ORDER BY ID DESC

Then another dialog comes up to tell me to check the database version.

It does the same thing with the blank database...

System details:

HQ Admin reports Version 1.3.1002 Trying to upgrade the database reports database is version 1.2, and it is up to date. Database properties reports CurrentCompatibility level 80

Any ideas?

FYI-

I am able to successfully run the query:

select * from hqversionhistory

...and get what seems to be good data. There are 4 fields, ID, Version, Description, and Date. All fields seem to have valid data.

There are 5 entries with versions 1.00, 1.01. 1.02. 1.03, and 1.20.

I know I am connected the the correct database I created. I can query all tables perfectly using SQL.

Baffled,

Jason

That wasn't it... Oops - I replied with the reason in the thread "Database problems". See there for the resolution.
