Deepu,

Log in as an Administrator

Close HQ Server & Client

Go into Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | View tab | check Show hidden files and folders

Go to Start | Find or Search | look for QS_*.tmp files on your hard drive. Delete them.

Restart HQ Server and Client

Deepu,

Locate the directory C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temp, where UserName is the name of the user who is typically logged on to the computer when the application is running.

Delete *.tmp files in there. Looks like the KB article is old. When I searched my own system, the files were just listed as ~012223.tmp instead of QS_012223.tmp.

You may not see the Local Settings folder until you enable the Show Hidden Files\Folders option. To locate this option, click the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab. In the Hidden Files and Folders section, click to select the Show hidden files and folders option, and then click Detailed. This will provide a concise list of files that are organized in alphabetical order.
