Hi Tony, No problem you can go ahead for this as for my testing I am doing so, and for the implementation part also I have done this. Remeber that your server should have good memeory and hard driver space to keep both the database.

If need any more help let me know.

I run both HQ & SO on one machine, but I'm fairly certain that I am not running them on separate instances.

Can you provide some info (or a link to some info) regarding how to set up separate instances for the SO & HQ databases?

Tom

I am confused. Are you saying to have 2 versions of SQL server running? ie Workgroup and Express.

I attempted to set it up but I cannot get a connection. Does anyone know of any detail instructions on how to do it. I want to test HQ and Store Ops out before I install it.

It seems a little stupid that you would need 2 mach> Dear Tom,

I plan to use Windows Small Business Server and SQL server 2005 Workgroup edition for my new server. I have the RMS v2 upgrade but I am hesitant to use it.

The only issue I have come across (aside from trying to do this on on a machine with 128MB of RAM - you should at least have 512 I'd say) is the fact that the licensing in this version is still dongle based. The Sentinel/Rainbow driver can only read one dongle at a time..so you would need to have the two dongles on separate machines, but other than that there are no issues I have experienced.
