What is the limit of store for Headquarters for one organization?

you should have a SQL server, a App server with serious processing power (we have 40 stores and 2 x quad cores 2.66 CPU's), and a dedicated comm server running HQ server for every 20 stores. We have 2 comms servers for our 40 stores.
