How do I edit labels for the Barcode Blaster?

My Barcode Blaster labels were perfect until I replaced my computer. Now they are printing too small, so the scanner is having difficulty reading the code.

Typical Microsoft. Open the label to be edited with Label Designer. Choose the label and you're told Label Designer cannot be used to edit Barcode Blaster labels. "See Store Operations documentation for assistance in editing Barcode Blaster labels." The only problem is, there's no help in the documentation.

I was talked into switching from Quicksell 2000 to RMS. Whereas before I could print labels from the POS software in 2 clicks, I now have to use a separate module and click, what, 7 times? That's progress??

If anyone out there can offer assistance, I'd be grateful.

Essie - are you using windows drivers for the blaster?

If you are, try editing one of the sample avery labels to fit in your stock size; save your changes onto a new template which you will be able to preview using the label designer; play with the size of the barcode field in the label designer (or depending on your ILC string, you may be need to select a different barcode format (ie 2 of 5, 3 of 9, 128A, etc)

I don't mean to sound stupid, but how can I tell if I'm using Windows drivers? I've been on Mac since Mac was born, but am just learning my way around Windows. Unfortunately my entire store is PC-based. :-(

My OS is WindowsXP. I actually tried the Avery 4150 because when I looked it up online, it was a 1x2 label and that's what I need. When I tried to print it to the Barcode Blaster, nothing happened.

Yet when I go to print the BB1x2 label that is in the template list, it prints.

This is blowing my mind and costing me a lot of time. I'd like to get an Uzzi and find Bill Gates! (just kidding...)

I can troubleshoot anything on my G4 at home, but here I don't feel confident.

I really appreciate your prompt resp> Essie - are you using windows drivers for the blaster?
