RMS should make it faster for cashiers to print labels

We need a quick way for cashiers to print and apply labels to merchandise. It's too much to ask them to hop over to Store Ops Manager, dive in to the Items table, go to Properties, click on 'Labels, then go through the label wizard, then through the Windwos print wizard. It needs to be pre-set and fast, much like a receipt.

Tim,

Did you see the SWAT Search tutorial link we sent out recently? I believe this is what you are looking for. Use Find to locate the item, then click View, Label, Print. Quantity defaults to on hand with no further keystrokes or mouse-clicks. Currently this works for PCL formats only. Three label formats are installed for Cognitive or Zebra printers. If you know PCL for your printer you can edit them.

I followed your directions to Find and located the item, but I can't see a "View" anywhere. What am I missing?

Do you have SWAT Search or Power Ops installed? If so, the utility will appear as a custom POS button on the right side of the screen. If you are running a recent version of either utility, you only need to highlight an item and press F12 to print a label. The default is to print the quantity on hand but you can change this before pressing Enter. That means anyone can print a label in two clicks or two keystrokes (F12, Enter).
