You can write your own custom and memorized reports. Reports are written in a .qrp format.

If you study the various reports and what each one does, you can pretty much come up with what you need by comparing them to each other and then customize it to get what you want. Also, if you post here what you are looking for there are many talented people, such as Jocelyn, that are willing to share what they have. Customersource also has a lot of reports, if you have access. Craig

I purchased Crystal Reports as a stand alone program. I can generate my own custom reports with very little knowledge about programming. You pick the tables you want and the fields that you want. Drag and drop them where you want them in your report. You can create formulas and filters. A great tool. It is very easy to use.

Yes but you shouldn't have to spend$$$$ to get what is in the system already. Problem is some of the info is not in certian reports. would be nice to be able to do truly customized reports.

I see the qrp format is sort of a text file... but I cannot seem to save one in the proper format for the program to "see" it? I have tried editing with MS word and notepad... What am I missing?

Thanks so much in advance.

If you use notepad select 'all files' for file type and then save as 'myreport.qrp' You then need to reselect the receipt template in Manager|Database|Registers open the appropriate register # and reselect the template you altered. click OK, if you just want it applied to sales hit no when prompted. Restart POS and the receipt should work. Craig

Target - save it with notepad but give it the following name (as an example)

Custom - Target Report.qrp

Exit store ops manager if necessary, then go back in - you should see the report in reports - custom

I still voted for this suggesti> I see the qrp format is sort of a text file... but I cannot seem to save one
