How to create repetitive $5 discount for many items

Dec 21, 2008 4 Replies

Hi, in my store typically when customer asking for discount for an item, we give $5 discount

Is there a way to create macro for it ? (Even better is custom button at the right panel) to speed up at POS

I tried recording macro but it doesnot seem to work - RMS 2.0 Or maybe could anyone teach me how to create proper macro?

Thank you, Regards, Joie

You could create a new non-inventory item called DISCOUNT and make the price -$5.00. Then you add that to the sale for a $5.00 discount. This is quick and easy, if you are not worried about unauthorized discounting. I am not sure if a cashier return limit of .01 will stop them from ringing this discount item up (it may?). If it does let them and you want to control discounting by security level you may have to find another way.

I am looking for something that can set discount

Found this solution : I overlook the "pause" icon

Knowledgebase arcticle 869896

And to add a custom button to fire it
