I wanted to share my experience on this subject with the group.
For our store to print to a receipt printer 100% of the time and a "warehouse" printer only a few times a day, I needed to do the following:
1.) Setup the second receipt printer in RMS to Receipt Printer 2. To do this, I needed to first tell it to "Print receipts only after asking the cashier". I did this so I could input a "Windows device name", otherwise it was grayed out. After the device name was entered, I switched the button back to "Do not print receipts".
2.) Within the Receipt Printer 2 tab, tell RMS to "Journal receipts from this printer".
3.) I turned of Receipt Printer 1's option to journal receipts from that printer so that I wouldn't end up with duplicate journal entries in the database.
4.) I also had to setup the 2nd receipt printer as my default printer from within windows, otherwise when I reprinted a receipt, no matter which receipt printer I picked, it would go the the default windows printer.
5.) Then, we just have our cashiers hit Shift+F11 after a transaction that needs to be printed to the back warehouse.
It would be nice to not have to change the default printer, since any PO's or other store manager reports will automatically default to that printer, but it's the way it needed to be for us. Maybe it's just our system, but that's what needed to be done to faciliate this.
