Slow / stalled printing (Epson)

Having an intermittent issue when something gets queued to the receipt printer, the printer will seem to hang ~ still see it in the print queue fine (small 8k file) but no joy...however, as soon as I close Store Operations it prints right out. Any ideas?

Thanx

It's a TM-88III direct connect using LPT (hanging off the s/w dongle). I checked the port configuration/spooler settings and all appears normal. Printer is not being shared. Process priority is defaulting to 20.

Thanx.

the port is actually set to ESDPRT001 ... maybe this is a problem. I'll try and change it to epp or ecp and see if this improves things...

thanx

I am facing slow printing problem with Epson TM-88IIIP printer, when I installed that printer by default it installed on ESDPRT001 port, when I change it from ESDPRT001 to LPT1 it stops printing. My printer is attached with a client machine, any idea how I can fix that problem?

If the cash drawer getting the signal from the printer, then in the Epson utility you have to toggle between low and high phases, depending upon the model of cash drawer.

If you're using RMS store operations, and a TM88IIIP, we have great sucess using the OPOS drivers from Epson, along with the OPOS driver for the cash drawer, The driver doesn't even have to be loaded in Windows, probably better NOT to load the 'all in one' from Epson. get signed into

for the OPOS drivers.

it's a learning curve, but worth it.
