HQ All Stores Quantity Report

Oct 17, 2006 3 Replies

I am wondering if anyone has a good idea about how I might do this. I like the Store Snapshot Quantity List report in HQ Manager, however I do want to modify it a little. Since this report list all of the items 3 times. Once for each store. It makes the report seem excessively long, since some companies we have well over a 1000 Items for. Just wondering if someone might know a way to make this report print out each item only once and have 3 columns. 1 column for each store that under the column list the quantities. This would greatly reduce the length of the report and also give a nice side-by-side comparison for available quantities of each item at all 3 stores. I have been trying to do this with formulas under the appropriate Columns but no luck. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Neil

Jeff,

I will try using Crystal Reports. I have not yet made a report for Crystal so it will be a new experience. I do like customizing the normal .qrp reports. It is very straight forward. Again if anyone finds a way to modify the Quanity Snapshot Report to allow multiple store side-by-side comparison. Please let me know.

It's just SQL...

consult SQL Server books online - you can find them at http:\\msdn.microsoft.com search for Cross tab and you should find an example of how to generate this. You will have to hard code a column in the report for each store and if you add a store in the future, you would need to go in and add a column for it.

You'll be making use of the Formula setting for the column definitions.

It's not exactly straight forward
