HQ Reporting

Nov 29, 2006 7 Replies

I could really do with a report which shows QTY on hand at both of my stores on one sheet.

For example i am selling artificial Christmas trees - i want to print a price list for that Catagory/department and have a column for each store with the QTY on hand at each store.

Is this a standard report that i am missing, or is there something out there that can do this?

Thanks!

Hi Philip,

If you want to see the quantities on hand on both of your stores you can use the Items -> Snapshot Store Quantity List, but you don't have the price for each store on that report. You can create your own custom report to have price and quantity in the same report.

Hope this helps,

Philip,

The report Irina suggested will work, but not exactly the way you want it to. The store quantities won't be in their own columns.

Keep in mind that HQ inventory is not as reliable as SO inventory. You can run a WS501 then Inventory wizard 190 to reconcile HQ & SO quantities. Inventory changes from Transactions, Purchase & Transfer orders will all be reflected accurately at HQ. Any manual changes to inventory levels will not be transmitted to HQ without another WS510/Inventory 190 cycle. For example, a tree gets killed by a falling customer. The manager goes to item properties and changed the qty on hand. HQ inventory is now wrong. It's best to NEVER change inventory levels manually. ALWAYS transfer in/out to ajust quantity on hand. This way, HQ knows what's up.

It can be done in active reports, but it's not trivial. You have to work some magic with SQL and the report has to be hard coded for the number of stores.

I'd suggest running the HQ Item value report, exporting it to Excel, cleaning it up a bit and then doing a pivot table. That should get you what you are looking for. I think that someone posted some instructions for working with Excel recently.

I am pretty sure that I changed a quantity manually at a store and this change was transmitted to HQ during the next Data Upload. Am I crazy?

Thanks for all the help, i will investigate all these :o)
