HQ Client - can it be less obvious?

Perhaps I am missing something. If so, please let me know.

RMS 1.3.1004

I have HQ client installed on all systems. I have an HQ Client shortcut in the Startup folder so that HQ client launches at startup. This brings up the HQ Client window front & center on startup. I would prefer that the HQ client simply run in the system tray unless the user brings up the HQ Client window.

Is there a better way? Do I need so suggest to MS that the HQ Client run strictly in the system tray unless called upon?

I think I *was* missing something and I may have solved my own problem...

All I needed to do was configure the HQ Client in SO Admin to point at the SO Server IP and skip the HQ Client on the workstations altogether.

Duh.

Hello Tom, the HQ Client window in SO Administrator only enables item quantity checks across all stores listed in your HQ environment. You still need to run HQ Client on at least one machine per store for that store to communicate with your HQ server.

Is there a way that the HQ Client can automatically minimize on startup, either throguh configuration settings or command-line parameters? Our store managers are in the habit of closing all of their Windows applications with File / Exit. That closes and shuts down the HQ Client. I'd rather not present them with a window at all.
